Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support, guidance, and supervision to young people in various settings (e.g., residential, outreach, community centres).
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
- Act as a positive role model, fostering a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment.
- Help young people develop essential life skills, including communication, problem-solving, and independent living.
- Support young people in managing challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties, using de-escalation techniques where necessary.
- Document observations, incidents, and progress reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for young people.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies and procedures, maintaining professional boundaries at all times.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and continuous professional development training.

- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, Youth Work, or a related field (or working towards).
- Previous volunteer or paid experience working with young people (e.g., youth clubs, schools, mentoring).
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of local resources and support networks in Haringey.
