Job Description
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Remote WordPress Developer to join our growing team. As a key player in our digital production department, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing high-performance, responsive WordPress websites for a variety of clients across different industries. This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development principles, with a particular emphasis on WordPress best practices, custom theme and plugin development, and API integrations. You’ll work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to bring complex designs to life, ensuring technical feasibility and an exceptional user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy custom WordPress themes and plugins from design mockups.
- Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility for all web projects.
- Manage and maintain existing WordPress websites, including updates, bug fixes, and performance optimizations.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, e-commerce platforms).
- Collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and content creators to define project scope and requirements.
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code adhering to coding standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Strong command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery, vanilla JS).
- Experience with responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of database management, specifically MySQL.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
