In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of general cleaning tasks in residential settings across the University of Nairobi area and surrounding neighborhoods. Your day-to-day could involve dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, polishing surfaces, and performing other tasks designed to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general house cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and trash removal.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other living areas to a high standard.
- Polish furniture and fixtures, and clean windows as required.
- Manage time effectively to complete all assigned cleaning tasks within scheduled timeframes.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and client-specific instructions.
- Report any damage or maintenance needs observed during cleaning to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks (e.g., bending, lifting)
- Basic communication skills (English and/or Swahili)
