Job Description

Are you an experienced Network Administrator with a passion for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures? In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the health, performance, and security of our various client networks and internal systems, operating from your home office in Souillac, Savanne District. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems, ensuring optimal network performance and availability. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
  • Perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software procurement, support, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours network emergencies.
  • Stay updated with emerging network technologies and security threats.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role for at least 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
  • Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN).
  • Proficiency in wireless network administration.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and protocols (SNMP, NetFlow).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CCNP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud networking platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for network automation.
  • Knowledge of VoIP and video conferencing systems.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
