Key Responsibilities
- Translate a variety of content types (e.g., marketing, technical, legal, medical, creative) from source to target language, maintaining accurate meaning, context, and tone.
- Perform thorough linguistic quality assurance, proofreading, and editing of translated materials to ensure accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style adherence.
- Utilize Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, Translation Memory (TM), and Terminology Management (TMG) systems efficiently to ensure consistency and productivity.
- Adhere strictly to project guidelines, client-specific style guides, and terminology glossaries.
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Conduct research as needed to ensure accurate terminology and cultural appropriateness.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and other team members to clarify ambiguities and ensure project success.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client information and project materials.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in the target language and exceptional proficiency in the source language.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience.
- Proven expertise in specific subject matters (e.g., IT, Marketing, Legal, Medical, Finance).
- Advanced proficiency with leading CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, MemoQ, Memsource, Wordfast).
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization best practices.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and self-discipline skills for remote work.
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Professional translation certification (e.g., ATA, ITI, NAATI).
- Experience with post-editing machine translation (PEMT).
- Proficiency in more than one language pair.
- Prior experience working with a Translation Management System (TMS).
