Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout, discover, and evaluate new musical talent through live performances, online platforms, and industry connections.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other industry professionals.
- Review and assess demo submissions, providing constructive feedback and identifying potential for development.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, genre shifts, and competitive landscape in the music industry.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on potential signings, outlining artistic vision, market viability, and growth potential.
- Support contract negotiation processes by providing artist insights and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Collaborate with marketing, promotions, and artist development teams to ensure successful artist launches and career progression.
- Attend industry events, showcases, and conferences to network and stay abreast of new talent and industry developments.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in A&R, artist management, music scouting, or a related role within the music industry.
- Exceptional ear for music and a proven ability to identify commercially viable and artistically compelling talent.
- Extensive knowledge of various music genres, current trends, and a keen eye for future potential.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
