Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, development, and execution of diverse events specifically designed for foreign residents and international communities.
- Conduct thorough research on cultural sensitivities, traditions, and preferences relevant to target international audiences to ensure inclusive event design.
- Develop detailed event proposals, including timelines, budgets, vendor selection, venue scouting, and promotional strategies.
- Manage all logistical aspects, including permits, catering, entertainment, technical requirements, and volunteer coordination.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, sponsors, community organizations, and cultural groups.
- Craft compelling communication and marketing materials in consideration of multicultural audiences.
- Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth operations, participant satisfaction, and efficient problem-solving.
- Analyze event success through feedback collection and post-event reporting, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, community outreach, and client services teams to maximize event impact.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of progressive experience in event planning and coordination, preferably with a focus on multicultural or international events.
- Demonstrated cultural intelligence and sensitivity, with a proven ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a significant asset.
- Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience living or working abroad, providing first-hand insight into international experiences.
