Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on automotive electrical systems to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring, alternators, starter motors, batteries, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
- Install, test, and maintain vehicle electronic systems, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment units, and security systems.
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on vehicle electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during repairs and installations.
- Document all repairs, maintenance, and parts used accurately and thoroughly.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding diagnostic findings and repair recommendations.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive electrical technologies and repair techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, scan tools).
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in Automotive Electrical Systems.
- Experience with various vehicle makes and models, including commercial vehicles.
