Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute comprehensive on-set data wrangling, ensuring secure transfer, verification, and backup of all camera original files.
- Implement and maintain robust digital workflow solutions from capture to post-production, optimizing for efficiency and data integrity.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on all acquired footage, identifying and troubleshooting technical issues (e.g., focus, exposure, artifacts) promptly.
- Generate dailies with appropriate color correction, look-up table (LUT) application, and metadata tagging, facilitating timely review by creative teams.
- Collaborate closely with cinematographers to establish camera settings, resolve technical issues, and optimize image acquisition strategies.
- Oversee camera media management, including formatting, loading, archiving, and secure storage according to industry best practices.
- Maintain and calibrate DIT equipment (monitors, scopes, workstations), ensuring peak performance and readiness for production.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance regarding digital camera systems, lenses, accessories, and ancillary equipment.
- Document workflow procedures, metadata, technical specifications, and color pipelines for each project to ensure consistency.
- Stay current with emerging digital cinema technologies, software advancements, industry best practices, and innovative workflows.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional digital cinema cameras (e.g., ARRI, RED, Sony, Blackmagic, Canon C-series).
- Expertise in DIT software and tools (e.g., Silverstack, ShotPut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Pomfort LiveGrade, Assimilate Scratch).
- Strong understanding of color science, LUTs, color spaces (Rec. 709, P3, ACES), and comprehensive color management workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of digital file formats (e.g., RAW, ProRes, DNxHD), codecs, and secure data storage solutions (RAID, LTO).
- Familiarity with various operating systems (macOS, Windows, Linux) and network storage environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities for complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in high-pressure production settings.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse production teams.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various set locations as required.

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Cinematography, Media Arts, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in color grading, data management software, or specific camera systems.
- Experience with virtual production workflows, LED volume stages, or real-time rendering environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools for post-production and remote workflows.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for workflow automation or custom tool development.
- Prior experience working on feature films, high-end commercials, or episodic television series.
