In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing complex cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions of applications and infrastructure to leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing existing on-premise environments, identifying suitable cloud migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, re-factor, etc.), and designing robust, secure, and highly available cloud architectures. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the assessment of existing IT landscapes and define cloud migration strategies (e.g., lift-and-shift, re-platform, re-factor).
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Execute complex data and application migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline migration processes and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, network engineers, and security specialists.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Create comprehensive documentation for migrated systems, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance our migration capabilities.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, assisting in technical proposals and client presentations when required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing) in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with database migration strategies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a consultancy or client-facing role.
