Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including receiving, warehousing, and dispatching of goods.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Plan and track the efficient movement of products from the warehouse to customers, optimizing routes and schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to arrange deliveries and resolve any logistical issues.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with regulations.
- Utilize logistics software (WMS, ERP) to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate performance reports.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of warehouse and delivery personnel as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates and resolve challenges promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within warehouse and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with various stakeholders.
- Problem-solving aptitude with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CTL) is a plus.
- Experience with route optimization software and GPS tracking systems.
- Familiarity with local transportation regulations in Jamaica.
