Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and dynamic Media Relations Manager to join our growing team in Kovan, Singapore. In this critical role, you will be the primary architect of our public image, responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key influencers across Singapore and the wider APAC region. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies aligned with company objectives and brand positioning.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key journalists, editors, producers, and influencers across various media channels.
- Draft compelling press releases, media advisories, statements, and other public relations materials.
- Act as a primary media contact, managing inquiries and coordinating interviews for company spokespersons.
- Monitor media coverage, track relevant industry news, and analyze PR campaign effectiveness, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Prepare spokespersons for media engagements, including developing talking points, Q&As, and media training.
- Identify proactive media opportunities and pitch compelling stories to secure positive coverage.
- Assist in the development and execution of crisis communication plans and rapid response strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, content, leadership) to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong ability to craft engaging narratives.
- In-depth knowledge of the Singaporean media landscape, including key media outlets and journalists.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts.
- Experience with media monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Brandwatch).
- Strong strategic thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
