Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and automated software delivery across various environments.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and optimize automation platforms and tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Monitor automated systems for performance, reliability, and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to define automation requirements and integrate solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automated processes, tools, and configurations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in IT automation and DevOps.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Demonstrated expertise with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their automation services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • German language skills are a plus.
