Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of music production from pre-production planning and arrangement to final mastering for assigned tracks.
- Collaborate intimately with artists to crystallize their musical vision, develop innovative arrangements, and refine song structures.
- Operate and meticulously maintain all studio equipment, ensuring optimal recording conditions, pristine sound quality, and system integrity.
- Expertly engineer recording sessions, including strategic microphone placement, meticulous signal flow management, and precise multi-track recording.
- Perform professional-grade audio mixing, balancing levels, applying a diverse range of effects, and ensuring ultimate sonic clarity and impact.
- Execute advanced mastering processes to meticulously prepare tracks for broadcast, digital distribution, and commercial release.
- Provide incisive, constructive feedback and clear creative direction to artists and session musicians throughout the production cycle.
- Manage project timelines, allocated budgets, and studio resources with exceptional efficiency to consistently meet stringent deadlines.

Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable professional experience in music production and advanced audio engineering.
- Exceptional proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or similar platforms.
- Profound understanding of acoustics, advanced microphone techniques, signal processing, and audio theory.
- Demonstrable experience in mixing and mastering a diverse range of musical genres, with a strong emphasis on reggae and dancehall.
- An excellent and highly critical ear for music, rhythm, melody, harmony, and sonic texture.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as seamlessly integrate into a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to guide creative processes.
- Strong organizational acumen and meticulous project management capabilities.

- Bachelor's degree or accredited Diploma in Music Production, Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience with analog recording equipment and advanced hybrid (analog/digital) studio setups.
- A compelling online portfolio showcasing successful commercial releases or high-quality, professional demo productions.
- In-depth familiarity with various Jamaican musical sub-genres, including but not limited to roots reggae, rocksteady, dub, ska, and modern dancehall.
- Prior experience mentoring, coaching, or developing emerging artists and musical talent.
