Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and future workforce needs.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, onboarding, and soft skills workshops.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and HR business partners to identify talent development needs, skill gaps, and performance improvement opportunities.
- Implement and manage learning technologies (LMS, e-learning platforms) to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of L&D programs, reporting on key outcomes and ROI.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing program value.
- Mentor and develop a team of L&D professionals, fostering their growth and expertise.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends to ensure cutting-edge program offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior Learning & Development leadership role, preferably as a Director or Head of L&D.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate large-scale, impactful learning strategies and programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and talent management best practices.
- Experience with various learning technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strategic thinking with a proven track record of aligning L&D initiatives with business objectives.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Certification in coaching, psychometric assessment, or instructional design (e.g., ATD, CIPD).
- Experience working in a multi-industry or consulting environment.
- Familiarity with the specific cultural and economic context of Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.
- Proficiency in data analytics for L&D program evaluation and reporting.
