Job Description
Frog & Fern Cottages is seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Spa Therapist to join our intimate team in Chimanimani. As a Spa Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a range of high-quality spa treatments, including various massage therapies, facials, and body treatments, to our esteemed guests. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of spa treatments including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone massages, aromatherapy, facials, and body wraps, in accordance with established protocols and guest preferences.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand individual needs, health conditions, and preferences, ensuring a personalized and safe treatment experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tranquil spa environment, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation standards for all equipment and treatment areas.
- Educate guests on the benefits of various treatments and recommend suitable spa products for continued well-being at home.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after each service, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked.
- Promote and upsell spa services and retail products effectively and ethically.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless guest experiences and overall operational excellence.
- Stay updated with industry trends and new treatment techniques to continuously enhance service offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven diploma or certification in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of professional experience as a Spa Therapist, demonstrating proficiency in various massage modalities and skincare treatments.
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for spa treatments.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Shona) is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized treatments such as reflexology, reiki, or specific facial techniques.
- Experience working in a boutique hotel, lodge, or resort spa environment.
- Familiarity with natural and organic spa products.
