Career.zycto is seeking a proactive Warehouse Stock Assistant to join our growing team in Mushin, Lagos. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and facilitating the timely dispatch of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, preparing them for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock to the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor for replenishment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operational flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of OND in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong organizational skills with an excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately read and follow instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with inventory management systems or data entry.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Certification in operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- A good understanding of supply chain processes and inventory control best practices.
