Career.zycto is seeking a proactive Warehouse Stock Assistant to join our growing team in Mushin, Lagos. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and facilitating the timely dispatch of goods. You will be at the heart of our logistics operations, responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, ensuring that our stock levels are meticulously managed and our supply chain remains uninterrupted. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, preparing them for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified) safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock to the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor for replenishment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operational flow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of OND in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately read and follow instructions and procedures.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with inventory management systems or data entry.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Certification in operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
  • A good understanding of supply chain processes and inventory control best practices.
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
