Job Description

Are you an empathetic detective with a passion for understanding human behavior and a knack for turning insights into actionable product strategies? Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Remote User Researcher to join our globally distributed team. As a vital member of the product and design organization, you will champion the voice of our users, conducting in-depth qualitative and quantitative research to uncover their needs, motivations, and pain points across various stages of the user journey. Your expertise will be instrumental in informing our product development cycle, from early-stage concept validation and ideation to iterative design improvements and post-launch evaluation. This role offers the unique opportunity to work fully remotely from Singapore, collaborating seamlessly with diverse, cross-functional teams spanning product management, UX/UI design, engineering, and marketing. You will be responsible for the entire research lifecycle, including defining compelling research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies (e.g., usability testing, in-depth interviews, surveys, field studies, diary studies, card sorting), recruiting participants, moderating sessions, meticulously analyzing data, and synthesizing findings into clear, compelling, and actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute a wide range of user research studies, both qualitative and quantitative, to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Define clear research objectives and questions, choosing the most appropriate methodologies to answer them (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, diary studies, contextual inquiry).
  • Recruit and screen participants, ensuring they align with target user profiles for specific research initiatives.
  • Conduct research sessions, interviews, and workshops, effectively moderating and facilitating to gather rich, unbiased data.
  • Analyze research data using appropriate techniques, synthesizing findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Communicate research findings and recommendations effectively to cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing) through presentations, reports, and workshops.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate research insights into product features and design improvements.
  • Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in user research and apply them to enhance our research capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in User Research, UX Research, or a related field, preferably in a SaaS or tech product environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in research tools for user testing, surveys, and data analysis (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, Dovetail, Figma for prototyping).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to convey research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field.
  • Experience working on a global product with a diverse user base.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and analytics platforms to complement qualitative data.
  • Experience with remote research tools and best practices for conducting research with international participants.
