Career.zycto is seeking an accomplished and strategic Merchandise Manager to lead our merchandising efforts in Lechhausen, Augsburg. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including selection, sourcing, pricing, promotion, and end-of-life planning.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to inform product decisions.
  • Optimize inventory levels through effective forecasting, demand planning, and stock management to minimize overstocking and stock-outs.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and build strong, lasting relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Analyze sales performance, profitability, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure cohesive product launches and promotions.
  • Develop and manage merchandising budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing merchandising team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies related to product quality and sourcing.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in merchandise management or a related retail role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful merchandising strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI software).
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain processes, and inventory management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the e-commerce sector in addition to traditional retail.
  • Familiarity with merchandising software and ERP systems.
  • Experience managing multiple product categories simultaneously.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
