Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance, always maintaining client dignity.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and on schedule, meticulously documenting all actions and observations.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in client condition, and promptly report any concerns to medical professionals or family members.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure client safety.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assist with feeding as needed, and manage dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Perform light household duties, including laundry, tidying living areas, and running essential errands to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities such as conversation, reading, walks, or hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Manage and maintain accurate client records, care plans, and daily activity logs.
- Provide respectful and compassionate end-of-life care when required, supporting both the client and their family.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment by adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere strictly to professional ethics, client confidentiality, and company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in home care or a similar caregiving role, specifically with seniors.
- Strong understanding of elder care principles and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Physical stamina and strength to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in administering medication and monitoring vital signs.
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred, but not strictly mandatory).
