Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate A&R Administrator to join our vibrant team in Heavitree, Exeter. This full-time role is crucial for supporting our A&R department, acting as the central hub for administrative excellence that keeps our artist development and scouting efforts running smoothly. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the flow of demo submissions, coordinating artist meetings, maintaining meticulous databases, and facilitating communication between artists, producers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and log incoming demo submissions, ensuring timely review and feedback.
  • Coordinate scheduling for A&R meetings, artist showcases, and recording sessions.
  • Maintain and update artist databases, contact lists, and project tracking systems with meticulous accuracy.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and correspondence for the A&R team.
  • Assist with the preparation of contracts, agreements, and necessary legal documentation (under guidance).
  • Facilitate communication between artists, management, producers, and internal departments.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and manage departmental budgets where applicable.
  • Conduct market research and compile industry insights as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the A&R department, including travel arrangements and office supplies management.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • A genuine passion for music and understanding of the A&R process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Arts Administration, Communications, or a related field.
