Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in conducting user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights.
- Contribute to the creation of wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Support the design of engaging and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency and adherence to design guidelines.
- Prepare design assets and specifications for development teams, ensuring a smooth handover process.
- Participate in design critiques and feedback sessions, actively contributing to iterative design improvements.
- Learn and apply best practices in user-centered design, accessibility, and visual design principles.
- Stay informed on the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance design skills.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- A foundational understanding of graphic design and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and user experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree/diploma program in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A nascent portfolio showcasing academic projects, personal work, or concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS) is a plus, but not required.
