Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and impactful packaging concepts for new and existing products, aligning with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
- Create detailed packaging designs, mock-ups, and 3D renders for various product lines, ensuring visual appeal and structural integrity.
- Prepare high-resolution, print-ready artwork files, meticulously checking for accuracy, color consistency, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to understand project requirements and ensure design feasibility.
- Research current packaging trends, materials, and technologies to propose cutting-edge solutions that enhance product presentation and sustainability.
- Ensure all packaging designs comply with relevant industry regulations, labeling laws, and internal quality standards.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating designs to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain an organized library of design assets, templates, and brand elements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and 3D rendering software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of packaging design projects, including concept development and finished artwork.
- Excellent understanding of print production processes, materials, and packaging structures.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across product lines.
- Exceptional creativity, artistic flair, and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for food packaging in Zimbabwe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Experience with sustainable packaging solutions and eco-friendly design principles.
