Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Auto Glass Repair Technician to join our dynamic team in Norton, Mashonaland West Province. As an Auto Glass Repair Technician at PG Glass Zimbabwe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers by providing top-notch windshield and automotive glass repair and replacement services. Key Responsibilities
- Perform automotive glass repair and replacement services on various vehicle makes and models, including windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
- Accurately assess glass damage to determine if repair or replacement is the appropriate solution.
- Prepare vehicles for service, ensuring protective measures are in place to prevent damage to the interior or exterior.
- Utilize specialized tools and techniques to safely remove, install, and seal automotive glass.
- Ensure all installations meet AGRSS (Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard) guidelines and company's stringent quality standards.
- Calibrate ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) where applicable, following specific manufacturer procedures and training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the workshop and mobile service units.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of services performed, pricing, and warranty information to customers.
- Manage inventory of glass and related materials, reporting needs and assisting with stock checks as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital records accurately and promptly for each job.
- Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development programs to enhance skills and stay updated with industry advancements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in automotive glass repair and replacement (minimum 2 years).
- Strong knowledge of various automotive glass types, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with relevant tools and equipment (e.g., cut-out tools, sealants, vacuum lifters, ADAS calibration tools).
- Ability to accurately assess damage, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Excellent manual dexterity, precision, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of vehicle electronics for ADAS calibration or a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational training or certification in auto glass repair from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration.

- A portfolio or documented history of successfully completed repair/replacement projects.
