This includes accurately reading pick tickets and order forms, identifying the correct products from designated storage areas, and carefully preparing them for packaging. A significant portion of your role will involve selecting appropriate packaging materials—boxes, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, shrink wrap—to ensure products are protected during transit. You’ll become adept at utilizing various packaging machinery and tools, always prioritizing safety and product integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve products from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Carefully inspect products for damage or discrepancies before packaging.
- Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc.) to ensure product safety during transit.
- Efficiently and securely package items according to company standards and client requirements.
- Affix accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate packaging equipment, such as tape dispensers, shrink wrap machines, and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Load and unload shipments manually or using material handling equipment as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packaging and labelling.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English or French.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months to 1 year) in a warehouse, shipping, or packaging role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
