Job Description

Are you a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual eager to make a profound impact on young lives? Career.zycto is actively seeking a talented Teaching Assistant to provide vital Classroom Support in a dynamic and inclusive school environment located in the vibrant Digbeth area of Birmingham. This full-time, on-site role is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about fostering an engaging and supportive learning experience for all students, contributing directly to their academic and personal growth.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of a welcoming school community, working closely with class teachers, other support staff, and parents to facilitate an enriching educational journey across various subjects and year groups. Your primary focus will be to enhance the learning experience for pupils, helping them to grasp new concepts, overcome academic and social-emotional challenges, celebrate their successes, and ultimately reach their full potential. This role demands a proactive approach, strong organisational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to understanding and supporting the diverse needs of children from various backgrounds.

You will have the chance to apply your skills in a setting that deeply values collaboration, innovative teaching methods, and student-centred learning. Your daily tasks will be diverse and impactful: from assisting teachers with lesson preparation, resource creation, and classroom management, to leading small group activities that reinforce learning objectives. A significant aspect of this role involves providing tailored one-on-one support for students who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), or simply require extra guidance to keep pace with their peers. You will help monitor student progress, report observations to the class teacher, and adapt materials as necessary to meet individual learning styles.

We are looking for someone who can adapt quickly to changing classroom needs, demonstrate initiative in supporting both students and teachers, and consistently maintain a positive, encouraging, and patient attitude. Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive atmosphere where all students feel comfortable to learn, ask questions, and grow is paramount. Your ability to build rapport with children, inspire confidence, and manage minor behavioural issues constructively will be key to success in this role.

Career.zycto is committed to connecting exceptional talent with schools that truly appreciate the dedication and vital contributions of their support staff. We understand the critical role Teaching Assistants play in creating a nurturing educational environment that allows every child to flourish. Join a team where your contributions are highly valued, and where you’ll have the opportunity to develop professionally through ongoing training, mentorship, and support. If you are ready to embark on a fulfilling career path in education and contribute positively to a thriving school community in Digbeth, helping to shape the future, one student at a time, by providing the essential support that underpins successful learning outcomes, we strongly encourage you to apply today.
