Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with SEN or EAL needs.
- Assist the class teacher in lesson preparation, including setting up resources and learning materials.
- Support classroom management and help maintain a positive, orderly learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to observe, assess, and record student progress.
- Assist with the supervision of students during lessons, break times, and school trips.
- Help create and adapt learning materials to suit individual student needs and abilities.
- Encourage student independence, self-esteem, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student welfare and progress.
- Support students with personal care needs if required, adhering to school policies.
- Undertake administrative duties as directed by the class teacher, such as photocopying or filing.
