Caledonia Mining Corporation plc, a successful and well-established gold producer operating the Blanket Mine in Filabusi, is seeking an exceptional Lead Network Security Engineer to fortify our critical infrastructure. In an era where digital assets are as valuable as our precious metals, safeguarding our operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) networks is paramount.
This pivotal role demands a visionary leader who can not only design and implement robust security architectures but also inspire and mentor a team. You will be at the forefront of protecting our proprietary data, operational systems, and communication channels from evolving cyber threats. Working closely with our IT and OT teams, you will be responsible for defining security policies, deploying cutting-edge solutions, conducting vulnerability assessments, and leading incident response efforts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining a resilient security framework that addresses the unique challenges of a modern mining operation, from protecting SCADA systems to securing cloud-based applications.
We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and regulatory compliance, particularly within an industrial or operational technology (OT) environment. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating risks, ensuring business continuity, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. This involves continuous monitoring, threat hunting, and staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and vulnerabilities to proactively defend against potential attacks. You will architect, implement, and manage next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security appliances. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in conducting penetration testing simulations and developing disaster recovery plans to ensure maximum resilience.
This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the security posture of a vital mining operation, contributing directly to our ongoing success and sustainability. If you thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment, possess an unyielding commitment to security excellence, and are ready to lead from the front, we invite you to join our dynamic team in Filabusi. Your work will directly contribute to safeguarding our operations, ensuring the integrity of our data, and maintaining the trust of our stakeholders. We offer a chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a critical industry, solving complex security challenges daily.
