Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive and regular reviews of internal processes, policies, and procedures to ensure strict compliance with relevant local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proactively identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk within the organization; develop, recommend, and implement effective corrective action plans for the resolution of identified problematic issues.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and insightful compliance reports, summarizing findings and presenting them to senior management with clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Stay continuously abreast of changes in regulatory landscapes, both within the UAE and internationally, and proactively update internal policies and guidelines as required to maintain full compliance.
- Assist in the development and delivery of engaging and effective compliance training programs for employees across various departments to foster a strong compliance culture.
- Collaborate closely with legal, internal audit, and operational teams to foster a culture of compliance, transparency, and ethical conduct across all business units.
- Manage and respond promptly and effectively to compliance-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, external regulators, and other relevant parties.
- Participate actively in internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation, data, and support to ensure smooth and successful audit processes.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential records of all compliance activities, documentation, and communications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of the company's overall compliance framework, risk management strategies, and internal control systems.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in corporate compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a related regulatory field.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance principles relevant to business operations in the UAE.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), or risk management (e.g., CCO, CAMS, CCEP, ICA Diploma).
- Prior experience with compliance software or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
- Fluency in Arabic (both spoken and written) is considered a significant advantage.
- Master's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
