Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via chat and phone, adhering to service level agreements.
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools and internal knowledge base.
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
- Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve complex customer issues.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new product knowledge and service procedures.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, patience, and politeness, especially during stressful interactions.
- Ensure data privacy and security protocols are strictly followed in all customer interactions.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative (CSR).
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of empathy and a customer-first attitude.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and strong typing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting performance targets.
- Stable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or HND in any discipline.
- Experience with chat-based customer support platforms.
- Previous experience working remotely in a customer service role.
- Fluency in additional Nigerian languages.
