Job Description

Are you a passionate and detail-oriented UX Researcher seeking a flexible, part-time opportunity to make a meaningful impact? SD Worx Mauritius is actively looking for a talented Part-Time UX Researcher to join our dynamic and growing team based in Rose Belle. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in uncovering deep insights into user behaviors, motivations, and needs, translating complex qualitative and quantitative data into clear, actionable recommendations that directly shape our product development. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including product managers, UX designers, and developers to ensure our digital solutions are not only functionally robust but also intuitive, enjoyable, and inherently user-centric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and conduct a variety of user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, and contextual inquiries to gather deep user insights.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user pain points, unmet needs, behaviors, and mental models.
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and recommendations for product, design, and development teams.
  • Create and present compelling research reports, user personas, user journey maps, empathy maps, and other relevant deliverables to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, UX designers, and developers to integrate user insights seamlessly into the product development lifecycle and ensure user-centric solutions.
  • Advocate passionately for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and understanding.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our research methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in various qualitative and quantitative user research methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear, compelling, and impactful research deliverables (e.g., reports, presentations).
  • Proficiency with common research tools (e.g., UsabilityHub, SurveyMonkey, user interview platforms, analytics tools).
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and their application in product development.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and collaborating within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
