Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify emerging musical talent across various genres through live performances, digital platforms, and community engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and key industry contacts within the local and regional music scenes.
- Evaluate demo submissions, attend showcases, and conduct comprehensive research on potential signings.
- Present promising artists to the A&R committee with detailed analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Negotiate recording and publishing deals in collaboration with legal and business affairs teams.
- Oversee the initial stages of artist development, including song selection, production guidance, and branding.
- Collaborate with marketing, publicity, and production teams to strategize and execute artist launches and campaigns.
- Stay informed on current music trends, industry shifts, and competitive landscapes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in A&R, music scouting, or talent management (minimum 2 years).
- Exceptional ear for music and a deep understanding of diverse musical genres.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
