Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Clerk to join our busy distribution warehouse team in Burley, Leeds. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damage.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring items are correctly packaged and labelled according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including proper storage, rotation, and regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Process all necessary documentation, including shipping and receiving records, inventory adjustments, and quality control forms, maintaining meticulous records.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, sales) to resolve inventory issues, expedite orders, and ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards before storage or dispatch.
- Participate in periodic inventory audits and contribute to process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Supply Clerk, Warehouse Operative, or similar role (minimum 18 months).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and repeatedly.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
