Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily tasks related to crop cultivation, including soil preparation, planting, weeding, fertilizing, and pest control.
  • Assist with the irrigation of crops, ensuring optimal water levels for healthy growth and efficient water usage.
  • Participate in the harvesting of various crops (e.g., maize, potatoes, vegetables), following best practices to maximize yield and quality.
  • Provide routine care for livestock, including feeding, watering, cleaning pens, and monitoring animal health under supervision.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment (e.g., tractors, tillers, pumps, hand tools) as required and after receiving appropriate training.
  • Conduct general farm maintenance, including fence repair, minor building upkeep, clearing debris, and maintaining pathways.
  • Assist with loading and unloading farm produce and supplies, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Adhere strictly to farm safety protocols, health guidelines, and environmental protection measures.
  • Work collaboratively with other farmhands and supervisors to achieve daily and seasonal agricultural objectives.
  • Report any issues concerning crops, livestock, equipment malfunction, or safety hazards to the farm manager promptly.

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
