Job Description
Are you a skilled and dedicated Plumber looking for an immediate opportunity to make a tangible impact? Motswedi Construction is seeking an experienced Plumber to join our essential Maintenance Team in Mmadinare, Central District. This is a full-time, on-site position vital to ensuring the functionality and safety of our various facilities and ongoing projects. As a Plumber on our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, ensuring all work adheres to the highest standards of quality, safety, and local regulations. You will play a critical role in preventing issues, troubleshooting problems, and providing timely solutions that uphold the integrity of our infrastructure. This role involves working independently and collaboratively with other maintenance personnel to ensure all plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and heating systems, are in optimal working condition across our sites. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment for water distribution and wastewater disposal.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues such as leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and plan installations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing infrastructure across various Motswedi Construction sites.
- Perform emergency repairs on burst pipes or failed plumbing components with a focus on immediate resolution.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and Motswedi Construction's quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with other skilled tradespersons and project managers to coordinate plumbing activities with overall project schedules.
- Document all work performed, including materials used, hours spent, and any issues encountered.
- Advise on suitable plumbing materials and fixtures for new installations and replacements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering strictly to occupational health and safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber in a construction or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams.
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex plumbing issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Valid Class B driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade certificate or diploma in Plumbing from a recognized institution.
- Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems.
