Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead photographers with setting up and breaking down equipment, including cameras, lighting, backdrops, and props on location and in studio.
- Manage and organize all photographic gear, ensuring equipment is clean, charged, in good working order, and packed efficiently for transport.
- Provide technical support during shoots, including adjusting lighting, holding reflectors, and ensuring camera settings are optimized.
- Assist with basic photo editing tasks such as culling, color correction, cropping, and file management using industry-standard software.
- Help with on-set coordination, client interaction, and talent management to ensure a comfortable and productive shooting environment.
- Perform administrative duties related to photo shoots, including scheduling, preparing shot lists, and managing digital assets.
- Research and source props, locations, or wardrobe as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, anticipating needs and proactively addressing potential issues during shoots.
- Learn and adapt to various photographic styles, techniques, and workflow processes under the guidance of experienced photographers.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photography principles and composition.
- Familiarity with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and accessories.
- Proficiency in basic photo editing software, such as Adobe Lightroom.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Physical stamina to carry and set up equipment, and stand for extended periods.
