Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments (e.g., HR, Project Management) to resolve accounting discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Prepare various financial reports and analyses as required by management.
  • Actively participate in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an accounting operations role.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualification, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Experience working in a large professional services firm or a similar corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement initiatives and automation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Prior experience working in a fully remote or hybrid accounting role.
