Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Tower Isle, Ocho Rios. This professional role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and delivery processes, forming the backbone of our commitment to timely and accurate distribution. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for a wide array of tasks designed to streamline our supply chain, from the moment goods enter our warehouse until they reach their final destination. This includes overseeing stock levels, managing inbound and outbound logistics, liaising with suppliers and transport partners, and utilizing various software systems to track and report on operational performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes, utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes for local and regional shipments to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, customs brokers, and transport carriers to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs forms.
  • Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, providing status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve any logistical issues, discrepancies, or delays that may arise during transit or storage.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards within the warehouse and during delivery.
  • Generate regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and delivery metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with diverse internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCMP, APICS).
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of Jamaican customs regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Familiarity with cold chain logistics or perishable goods handling.
