Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory experiments and analyses according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and media, ensuring accuracy, sterility, and proper documentation.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory instruments and equipment (e.g., PCR machines, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, microscopes).
  • Accurately and thoroughly document experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks or electronic data management systems.
  • Manage and organize laboratory samples, chemical inventory, and supplies, ensuring proper storage and disposal.
  • Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, quality control procedures, and ethical guidelines.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and optimization of new experimental protocols and methodologies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, including routine equipment cleaning and waste management.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in standard laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation, electrophoresis).
  • Proven experience with common laboratory equipment operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety regulations, chemical handling, and quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent data recording, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in all laboratory tasks.
