Your day-to-day will involve extensive research, attending live performances, building relationships within the artist community, and presenting your findings to our executive team. We are looking for someone who understands current music trends but also possesses the foresight to identify future movements. You will be instrumental in shaping our roster, providing crucial feedback to artists, and guiding their creative development. Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout, research, and identify new musical talent across various platforms (streaming services, social media, live venues, demos).
- Attend live performances, showcases, and industry events to evaluate artists' stage presence, fan engagement, and overall potential.
- Build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including artists, managers, producers, and promoters.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on potential signings, including market analysis, competitive landscape, and artistic viability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with signed artists, providing creative feedback and support throughout their development.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, legal, and production teams to ensure smooth artist onboarding and project execution.
- Stay continuously informed about music industry trends, new technologies, and emerging sounds across different genres.

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of professional experience in an A&R role, talent scouting, or music industry position.

- Existing robust network within the music industry in the Southern US region.
- Experience with artist contracts and basic legal principles related to music publishing/recording.
