Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Help with the organization and storage of food supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
- Support the cooking process by retrieving ingredients, setting up stations, and ensuring all necessary tools are available.
- Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and manage recycling efforts.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Assist with receiving and checking deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
