Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify new musical talent across various genres through live performances, digital platforms, unsolicited demos, and industry networks.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with emerging artists and their teams, serving as a primary point of contact and advocate within Career.zycto.
- Conduct thorough market research and trend analysis to understand the commercial viability and potential audience for prospective artists.
- Prepare comprehensive talent evaluations, including artist profiles, market analyses, and financial projections, for presentation to senior A&R management.
- Attend industry events, showcases, and networking functions to stay abreast of the latest developments and build a robust professional network.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, legal, finance) to facilitate artist development, project planning, and initial contract discussions.
- Provide constructive feedback and creative guidance to artists, helping to refine their sound and artistic direction.
- Monitor competitive landscapes and emerging industry technologies to identify new opportunities for talent acquisition and development.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in A&R, talent scouting, or artist management within the music industry.
- Demonstrable passion for music with an encyclopedic knowledge of current and emerging artists, genres, and industry trends.
- Exceptional networking and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of evaluating market potential and making data-informed decisions.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written German and English is essential for communicating with local and international talent.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of digital music platforms, social media, and their role in artist discovery and promotion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Arts Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Established network of contacts within the German and international music industry.
