Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in office, residential, and hotel environments (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces).
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and kitchens, restocking supplies as needed.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Polish furniture and fixtures to maintain their appearance.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Follow specific cleaning checklists for each client premise to ensure consistency.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards within allocated timeframes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in professional cleaning (minimum 6 months).
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough, meticulous approach to work.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong, dedicated work ethic.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills (verbal) to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) for safe chemical handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in hotel or residential cleaning.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle (for wider client reach and flexibility).
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent.
- Basic First Aid certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as client needs dictate.
