Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives in Bulawayo. This pivotal role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning strategies that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous growth and high performance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s business goals and talent development needs.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative learning programs, workshops, and e-learning modules across various platforms.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine appropriate learning interventions for all levels of employees.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR to integrate L&D initiatives into overall talent management and succession planning efforts.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning programs through data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting on ROI and impact.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality learning solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
- Mentor and develop a small team of L&D professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership in Learning & Development (8+ years)
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools
- Data analysis and reporting skills to measure L&D program effectiveness
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Budget management and vendor negotiation experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field
- Certification in coaching, psychometric assessment, or change management
- Experience with blended learning approaches and digital learning transformation
- Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment
