Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent strategy in Kadoma, Mashonaland West Province. This pivotal role requires an expert who can architect, implement, and oversee comprehensive learning initiatives that align with our strategic objectives, foster a culture of continuous growth, and significantly enhance organizational capabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's overall business goals and future talent needs.
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership development, technical skills, and essential soft skills across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to accurately identify skill gaps, performance deficiencies, and future training requirements across all departments.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and external vendor relationships to ensure the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality, and impactful learning solutions.
- Establish robust metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness, ROI, and impact of L&D initiatives on employee performance, engagement, and overall organizational outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional excellence within the team.
- Collaborate strategically with senior leadership and HR partners to seamlessly integrate L&D programs into broader talent management, performance management, and succession planning efforts.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cutting-edge trends in learning and development to ensure Career.zycto remains at the forefront of talent innovation and competitiveness.
- Champion a vibrant learning culture throughout the organization, actively encouraging and supporting continuous personal and professional growth for all employees.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership/director role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful, organization-wide L&D strategies and programs.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with experience in data-driven decision making.
- Expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and various training methodologies (in-person, virtual, blended).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPTD, ACC, SHRM-SCP, HRCI-SPHR).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple industries or sectors.
- Knowledge of contemporary HR best practices and talent management frameworks.
- Familiarity with compliance training requirements and regulatory landscapes.
