Key Responsibilities
- Assist waiters and waitresses with setting and clearing tables efficiently, ensuring quick turnover during peak hours.
- Ensure dining areas are impeccably clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Replenish condiments, cutlery, glassware, napkins, and other essential supplies in the dining area and service stations.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assisting with plating as instructed by chefs.
- Operate dishwashing equipment, wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment, maintaining stringent hygiene standards.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries politely and promptly, escalating any complex issues or complaints to senior staff or management when necessary.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, organizing storage areas, and tracking stock levels.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including strict food safety guidelines and workplace safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with all team members, including kitchen staff, servers, and management, to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive work environment.
- Prepare basic beverages like coffee or tea, and assist in bar areas with stocking and cleaning if required and properly trained.
