As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our commitment to a fair and supportive workplace. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and resolve employee relations issues, providing expert advice to managers and employees on HR policies, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution. You will conduct thorough investigations, ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and internal guidelines, and develop strategies to promote a harmonious and inclusive culture across our diverse global workforce. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to preventing workplace conflicts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances, in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations into workplace complaints, harassment claims, and other policy violations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations best practices, performance management, and conflict de-escalation.
  • Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organization.
  • Identify trends in employee relations issues and proactively develop preventative strategies, training programs, and communication initiatives.
  • Stay updated on local and international labor laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, HR business partners, and other stakeholders on sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all employee relations cases and activities.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive, and equitable company culture.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in an Employee Relations specific role or an HR generalist role with a strong ER focus.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices (preferably with international exposure).
  • Proven ability to conduct fair, thorough, and confidential investigations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • High level of empathy, discretion, and ethical judgment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, GPHR).
  • Experience working in a global or multi-national organization.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to our global workforce.
