Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed topographical, boundary, and measured building surveys using total stations, GPS, and LiDAR equipment.
- Perform comprehensive land and property valuations for various purposes, including acquisition, disposal, development, and secured lending.
- Prepare accurate and high-quality survey plans, reports, and valuation certificates in accordance with RICS guidelines.
- Process and analyze geospatial data using CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and GIS (e.g., ArcGIS) software.
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, developers, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver timely results.
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices, including health and safety regulations.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets efficiently to meet client expectations.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Contribute to business development activities and maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and technological advancements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Surveyor specializing in both land mapping and property valuation.
- Proficiency in operating modern surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, levels, LiDAR scanners).
- Expert-level knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Strong understanding of land law, property valuation principles, and planning regulations.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex maps, plans, and legal documents.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel for fieldwork within London and surrounding areas.
