Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and complete relevant documentation, reporting any defects promptly.
- Accurately pick, stack, and move products according to order requirements and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of lorries and containers, ensuring goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all company health and safety policies.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in stock or damages to goods.
- Follow all instructions regarding material handling and storage.
- Adhere to all legal and company safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid and in-date Forklift Operator's license (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck)
- Minimum of 12 months proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety procedures
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various types of forklifts (e.g., VNA, PPT)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- First Aid certification
- Previous experience in a similar industry (e.g., FMCG, distribution)
