Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight by hand or using material handling equipment onto and off trailers.
- Verify product counts against shipping manifests to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies immediately.
- Sort and stage products in designated areas within the warehouse for optimal organization and flow.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and hazards are removed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily loading targets and deadlines.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying shipments
- Basic comprehension of English or French for safety instructions and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment
- Excellent punctuality and reliability for night shift operations
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
