Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly professional and customer-focused Concierge to provide exceptional hotel and apartment assistance in the vibrant Fallowfield area of Manchester. This pivotal role requires an individual who embodies warmth, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to outstanding service. As the first point of contact for both our hotel guests and apartment residents, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and memorable experience from arrival to departure.

You will be responsible for a wide array of duties, ranging from warmly welcoming guests, managing smooth check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations with precision, and providing comprehensive information about local attractions, dining, and transportation. Beyond typical hotel duties, this role extends to supporting apartment residents with their day-to-day needs, including efficient parcel management, prompt resolution of maintenance requests, secure access control, and actively fostering a strong sense of community amongst residents. The ideal candidate will possess an encyclopaedic knowledge of Manchester, particularly Fallowfield, allowing them to offer personalised recommendations and seamless assistance that enhances every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome all guests and residents, assisting with efficient check-ins, check-outs, and luggage handling.
  • Manage reservations, answer inquiries, and provide accurate, detailed information about services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Handle all incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently and professionally.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of any issues.
  • Assist apartment residents with their daily needs, including secure parcel receipt/dispatch, key management, and logging service requests.
  • Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
  • Process payments accurately, maintain meticulous records, and handle cash/card transactions responsibly.
  • Act as a local expert, offering personalised recommendations for dining, entertainment, and transportation.
  • Address guest and resident concerns or complaints promptly and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety and security procedures and protocols.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a concierge, front desk, or hospitality-focused customer service role.
  • Exceptional customer service and outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) or hotel reservation software.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • In-depth knowledge of Manchester and surrounding areas, especially the Fallowfield locality.
